This site contains a variety of information such as a skunk odor remedy, links to free software, my personal photo collection, and hiking and backpacking information. This site began quite a few years ago as a simple project to help me learn HTML and was never intended to make it onto the internet. However, a hiking trip to Isle Royale National Park changed my mind. Before our trip we did a lot of research about the island and one of the most interesting and helpful sources of information we found were the personal accounts other backpackers had posted on the internet. The trip logs were usually very informative and revealed a perspective we couldn’t otherwise have picked up from a short, simple informational web site or brochure. It was because of the quality information I discovered from reading the trip journals that I decided to post my hiking trips on the internet. As a result I also added links to my site that contained valuable information for planning a backpacking trip. There is information and links on my site regarding hiking and backpacking, in general, but much of the information is about Isle Royale. This site probably has one of the largest collections of links on the internet regarding Isle Royale with 233 links, 74 of which are personal trip logs. The links are divided into eleven categories a few of which are, transportation, Isle Royale in the news, moose and wolf information, videos and Isle Royale weather forecasts.
